“Crowley would have a chance to win on the Independence ballot line if he were campaigning, but he isn’t, so he’ll get a smattering of protest votes but that’s all.”

He stayed on the ballot for a reason. He, apparently, said he wouldn’t campaign. But, why stay on the ballot? I think he realized that Ocasio-Cortez was the buffoon she turned out to be. Perhaps a month from the vote he’ll campaign by explaining to his voters how much money and how many jobs he brought to his district and how they’ll lose that as well as have a continuous gaffe machine in the House. By that time, Ocasio-Cortez may have run her fifteen minutes out. The media did her a disservice by giving her unlimited publicity. The more you see of her, the stupider she seems.

In NY getting off the ballot is difficult, the usual way people do it to they accept nomination to another office, some local office or judgeship. He could also move out of the state or die.

After losing the GOP gov primary in 2010 Rick Lazio, who had the Conservative line and didn’t want to split the GOP vote in November, accepted the nomination to a judicial post in the Bronx that no Republican had run for.

Chris Collins is gonna have to do that to get off the congressional ballot.

Crowley’s is a safe rat district, even the rat vote split in 2 wouldn’t give the GOP much of chance so there is little reason he would inconvenience himself in order to get off. People on the left on fixating on his still being on the ballot cause they are afraid he could win if he tried.

If he wants to run, there is little reason to wait. I hope he does, it would infuriate the progtards. Primary turnout was very light so he has a great argument that her win meant nothing. I doubt he has the balls though to challenge a “woman of color”.
