An anonymous op-ed published in The New York Times, penned by a senior Trump administration official, contends that a cabal of senior staffers have secretly schemed to undermine Donald Trump in an effort to protect the American people. I work for the president, claims the purported senior official, but like-minded colleagues and I have vowed to thwart parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations.
---snip--
Worse, Anonymous contends that a clique of political appointees have some kind of ethical obligation to ignore the presidents agenda items, not because theyre unconstitutional or corrupt, but simply because it chafes them ideologically.

NYT accuses Russia of meddling in our elections but the paper is conducting its own brand of election interference.
The level of hypocrisy is enormous.
Spoken like Che....
Still punishable by jail.
“penned by a senior Trump administration official,
Yeah right. My moneys’ on this being a total fabrication concocted inside the nyt.
This is an attempt to steal President Trump’s many achievements, which boosts Republicans in the elections, and credit them to Resistance bureaucrats. It smacks of Clinton/Obama collusion with the Democrat propaganda arm at the NYT, and it is a Fake Op-Ed.
It's WAY too short and superficial.
When do we move to start putting this insurrection down? Its starting to fester
This mythical group is, by definition, a conspiracy. Such a conspiracy could not survive in the White House. If there is more than one person involved, it will not last long. Think “Timothy McVeigh.”
i.e. this is baloney.
Tall tree, strong rope, and a horse.....
Sarah Jeong’s first big assignment?
Honestly I think this is great news. I grew up in a blue collar neighborhood where my neighbors did not vote unless they were really upset about something. Well... now they know that they have more money in their pockets, their families have jobs, they are better off than they were two years ago. Now they have also been told there are lots of people working behind the scenes for them to keep president Trump from royally screwing things up - no need to take the time to vote against him. If they don’t like him, but like the economy, and if they are assured that there are lots of people behind the scenes keeping Trump in line, why vote against him?
Yet Trump continues to take out the garbage, every day.

This editorial is a Doug Flute Hail Mary pass. The author is a collaboration of Never Trumpers who realize that nothing they have done to date has worked. It should be viewed as desperation rather than subversion.
Remember when everyone was saying that Zerobama’s NSA had records of all communications of all kinds in the whole country? Yeah, what ever happened to that capability? If it exists, the Trump administration should use it to backtrack the message to the source.
Gaslighting. Designed to sow confusion and division during a very busy time.
So, one week before an election, THE NYT EDITORIAL BOARD can print a totally made up story, manufactured to damage whomever they want to destroy, cite it a s ‘an anonymous source’ and essentially fabricate a false story out of whole cloth and hide behind the First Amendment.................
Got it.........................
What goes around comes around.................
The author of this piece claims not to be a member of the “popular” leftist resistance, but someone who wishes to guide policy in a more traditional Republican direction.
However, the timing of this, coupled with the recent Woodward book, appears designed either to precipitate a crisis in the Presidency now, or help the Democrats win the midterms and impeach the President.
Hardly the work of a Republican.
