"Hawk" Harrelson is the worst MLB broadcaster but he is 100% correct about LeBron.

I didn’t know the White Sox still played in Chicago (Cubs Fan). So I thought Harrelson worked at the Stop N Go. But He is spot on on this. And that goes for all professional entertainers.
Dolly Parton, when asked a political question once refused to give and answer saying, “Why does anyone care what I think about politics...... Shut up and sing.”

Hawk is retiring and has been having former players, etc. drop by to reminisce. He is a fine announcer and has more stories than anyone could even listen to about his career, teammates, opponents. Very interesting.
Steve Stone and Hawk are very entertaining and SS is the most knowledgeable announcer on the air.

I don’t recall James speaking out during a game.
I thought it was on his own time that he was broadcast.
I disagree with him, but if it was on his own time, he can talk about whatever he wants.

Well, I used to watch LeBron but no more, Harrelson said during the NBC Sports Chicago broadcast. I wish these guys would keep their nose out of politics and just play because people didnt come to hear their opinions on politicians. But there seems to have been an actual decline in rational thinking. The United States had become a place where entertainers and professional athletes were mistaken for people of importance. They were idolized and treated as leaders; their opinions were sought on everything and they took themselves just as seriously after all, if an athlete is paid a million or more a year, he knows he is important
so his opinions of foreign affairs and domestic policies must be important, too, even though he proves himself to be both ignorant and subliterate every time he opens his mouth. (Most of his fans were just as ignorant and unlettered; the disease was spreading.) ― Robert A. Heinlein, To Sail Beyond the Sunset
