It said deport illegals not Latinos. What do people here legally have to fear?
Sounds to me like those worried ones are illegal
illegals not Latinos....
True. Only the criminals need fear anything. No one would deport a Latino with valid legal immigration status and ID.
Another point: ethnic groups vary but Latinos and Muslims tend to have close ties to their fellow group members. Often a mention of Muslims in Dearborn,MI (largest Arab population outside the Middle East anywhere in the world) brings a lot of comment from store owners and restaurant staff and others who know the person and know where they are now.
For decades this has not been true of Irish,German or other people. It once was, though.
My point: like a certain group in urban areas with their “no snitch rule,” we have to get the Latinos to admit they know who committed a violent crime and where they are now. They usually know but don’t want to say.
When they cover up then others get mad at all of them, even the innocent.
This - in a nutshell - encapsulates the message from those of us who want our immigration laws enforced.
Of course, there is no benefit to the fear-mongering media in drawing a clear distinction between legal and illegal immigrants. Using the catchall term "immigrant" lumps everyone int a single category. If you are anti-illegal immigration then you are "anti-immigrant".
Interesting that the media automatically assumes that all "Latinos" are illegal aliens or that all Latinos are in favor of illegal immigration. Who are the "racists" again?
