And your folks got you in bed at a reasonable hour so you could get up in the morning.
This is in response to bad parenting.
Most of that was in Istanbul at a private-for US-personnel school. We got an hour for lunch/recess and two 15 minute recesses during the day. I learned more history, grammar, and literature at that little school than I learned in school through high school back in the USA.
