Democrats on Saturday slammed what they described as a “Friday night document massacre” after the White House withheld more than 100,000 pages of Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh’s records, citing presidential privilege.
Former President George W. Bush’s attorney Bill Burck told the Senate Judiciary Committee in a letter Friday that it has mostly completed its work ahead of next week’s planned confirmation hearing.
Kavanaugh, who has been tapped by President Trump to replace Anthony Kennedy on the nation’s highest court, served in the White House Counsel’s office during the Bush administration.
The letter said that Bush told them to “proceed expeditiously and to err as much as appropriate on the side of transparency and disclosure, and we believe we have done do. on the side of transparency and disclosure.”
But the letter said that the White House and the Department of Justice, conducting its own review of the presidential records, “have identified certain documents of the type traditionally protected by constitutional privilege.”

Document massacre? Really? More Kavanaugh docs have been turned over than for any nominee in history.

If the Democrats are so anxious to learn more about Judge Kavanaugh, why have most of them refused to meet with him?
It does my heart good to see Schumer and his fellow crybabies making a circus out of this while Sens McConnell and Grassley stay calm and stick to the schedule.

One of McCain’s final tweets was that he was VERY pleased with Kavanaugh and would like to see him approved..so if the Dems want to “Honor” McCain like they claim they do, they should do the honorable thing and confirm him next week

But unless they turn over some document that shows why he should not be a Judge, they haven't turned over enough documents...just like not every vote is counted until Al Gore gets enough to pull ahead, and then counting can stop. The basic logic is, unless the Democrats get what they want its not fair.
100k pages? So how many millions of pages are there on the entire federal judiciary?
Surely these aren’t judicial opinions, or are they? I would think they could get judicial opinions by going through the court he sat on.
