WASHINGTON-With confirmation hearings for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh set to start next week, a young woman with ties to Lexington is gaining attention for her activism on Capitol Hill. Reproductive justice advocate Angela Maske has been working to meet with key players for more than a month. Washington reporter Eva McKend has the details.
For Angela Maske, this work is personal.
My interests in reproductive justice actually stemmed from my time living in Kentucky. In middle school in particular, we didnt have much sex ed. In fact, in high school, we didnt have any sex ed really. I remember seeing many of my fellow students going around not knowing how to protect themselves, what consent is and things like that. As early as 8th grade, I remember many of peers getting pregnant unintentionally and having to leave school. For me that was something that was really heart breaking because I know a lot of these students loved being in school, said Maske.
The Georgetown University senior and president of H*yas for Choice has been going up and down the halls of the Senate buildings for more than a month in effort to get facetime with the Senators she believes she can persuade to block Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh. A video she tweeted out this month racked up more than 8,000 views. Maske is convinced Kavanaugh will overturn Roe vs. Wade, though he has told some senators he has met with that it is settled law.
My Senators Mitch McConnell and Rand Paul do not support reproductive rights or reproductive health care and so thats why Im calling on Senator Susan Collins and Senator Lisa Murkowski who have shown in the past that they are advocates for reproductive health care, said Maske.

"As early as 8th grade, I remember many of peers getting pregnant unintentionally and having to leave school."
'unintentionally'? You mean they weren't knowingly engaging in sexual intercourse? And "many" students in 8th grade were pregnant? And even if that's supposedly true, somehow that's Brett Kavanaugh's fault and he needs to be defeated for confirmation as a Supreme Court Justice?
And this person is going to be awarded a college degree...
When Brett Kavanaugh gets confirmed there will be mass suicide ,LOL
Of course she would be pro-abortion. She goes to a Roman Catholic university. What else would she learn from the Pope’s fellow Jesuits.
Kentucky woman? If she get to know you, she goin’ to own you.
This is Georgetown, a university “in the Jesuit tradition.”
IOW, baby killer.
Now, I do have some Fourth Amendment concerns, but that’s entirely a different issue.
I'm guessing she solicited for the murder of her baby, and the child was murdered, and it drove her nuts.
Advocate for justice to reproduce? Pro life, bi*ch!
Reproductive justice = we pay for this womans hysterectomy, as well as the hysterectomies of every other reproductive justice activist.
Yes there would be costs, but it would be a small price for the peace and survival of future generations.
Stupid snowflake. Blame your parents. They should have taught you about all those important things
As soon as I heard a woman from Kentucky, I thought of Ashley Judd, that nasty no talent Hollywood miscreant.
I have to work. I don’t have time to show her what “push back” really means. Who is bankrolling these idiots? It’s subversion.
These Catholic schools can really churn them out. Angela Maske is following in the footsteps of that other screwball Georgetown girl Sandra Fluke.
And what is this crap: "H*yas"??? Is "Hoya" supposed to be a dirty word or something? Isn't that the nickname of their basketball team? I guess it's some kind of cutesy "edgy" inside joke …
Ignorant snowflake, she looks like shes 12 years old.
The Senators that she supposedly met with probably thought she strayed from her elementary school tour of the Capitol.
Yeah. One of us could really get publicity like that.
Idiot.
I hope nobody listens to her.
In particular, a black baby killer.
>>What else would she learn from the Popes fellow Jesuits.
Do you really want to know?
Hint: it involves donkeys immersed in oil, art depicting the unveiling of chthonic mysteries, liturgies from the Latin Mass sung backward, and paraphernalia such as thyrsoses for the initiates, hunting boots and nets, music from salpinxes and pan flutes... and of course, wine, and the catamites.
What do we have another Hogg here?
abortion hogg
oh, that just ain’t right (Galaxy Quest - movie with Tim Allen)
When Brett Kavanaugh gets confirmed there will be mass suicide ,LOL
__________
Out of fear he’ll vote to stop mass murder.
