The Left will no doubt claim that this is related to McGahns cooperation with Mueller - but I seriously doubt that. McGahn isnt a rat.
Mark Levin, Joseph DiGenova please pick up the white courtesy phone...
This is bad, because he has been behind the flurry of judicial appointments.
Instead of having a stupid committee that craps all over itself and ends up giving us crappy candidates, McGahn was largely a one man show, and doing well at it.
I despise the Left.
Might mean that Trump is ready to shift into pitched battle mode against the Deep State.
Hes been good on judges but terrible on protecting the President. Hes recused the entire White House counsel office from any involvement in the Mueller probe - forcing Trump and his staff to hire their own lawyers. And while I dont have a problem with him cooperating with Mueller as long as Trump is okay with it - I wonder why the President doesnt have a team of lawyers actually defending him.
The President can then pick an interim AG without consent of the senate until his official nomination can be confirmed. The interim AG and start handing out indictments by the basket full. Indict Hillary Clinton for thousands of counts of violation of the espionage act.
Watch how fast the mueller and the dems will wrap up all their investigations!
We need indictments for top democrats, Hillary, Comey, Clapper, Stroke etc. That is the only way to stop this attack on the President.
Well, I can’t disagree with you there. Admittedly, there isn’t really a procedure manual on how to navigate this crap for a President and his legal team. Sure, it should be the Constitution, but it seems like every time the wheel needs to be reinvented.

Maybe Trump knows that the Witch Hunt will be ending some time this fall.
To me McGahn feels like a McConnell Republican. Using Trump to get pro-business GOP judges confirmed. But no actual lasting loyalty to the President. There are a lot of these people around.
Ever since the days of the Cruz campaign “Never Trump” blacklists it has been a goal of the Never Trumpers and Dems to deny POTUS counsel.
Fake news... The judges Trump has been appointing have been the best selections of any president ever, and except for the odd case extremely conservative. He freaking put Don Willett on the circuit court. You really have nothing to complain about.
stop letting the media take a common occurrence in any administration as some “sign” of something, and expound on it for days.
Sometimes people leave for personal reasons.
Agreed, I think they are simply trying to tie Trump down like Gulliver until they can dispose of him, and failing that, render him incapable of action by denying him his support structure.
First of all, it is very unusual for White House staffers to stay 4 or 8 years. It’s just the nature of the job and the huge stress that goes with it. Second of all, it is not at all unusual for staffers to leave after a midterm election because the DC calendar largely runs on election cycles. Ask most staffers how long they plan to stay in a job and theyll tell you until after the next election.
Sounds like he is leaving on the eve of the midterms. Not after.
McGahn should be disbarred IMO. I have never seen anything like what McGann did with Meuller. I want to know if Donald Trump, the client specifically waived both attorney client privileged and executive privilege in writing, which is absolutely required here after full disclosure of what McGahn intended to do. There is something very wrong about this and it smells of deep state sedition. I do not accept that Trump was that dumb.
Is McGahn a Special Counsel in waiting? or the AG on deck? it fits a pattern that Trump might redeploy a trusted counsel / performer (ie like Pompeo or Kelly)
Leaving a sinking ship?
