Is the Pallbearer the man who helps to carry the coffin from the church to the hearse? I haven’t been to many funerals, and those funerals that really mattered to me, I wasn’t paying any attention to who does what in processions.
I come from a family that doesn’t discuss things like funerals until the very last minute. Nobody plans ahead.
If that is who a Pallbearer is, the McCains chose quite a few up in age men to do it. It would be ‘awful’ if somebody should drop their end of the coffin. Wouldn’t it?
