Hate SUV’S huh?
Guess your looking to pick a fight.
“See this battery?” Knock it off.
So what happened that put him in that situation?
You can’t tell from looking at a picture of a wreck.
“The new ones are ugly as sin though. Yeah, I know you just got done talking about this but the new ones break the mold.”
Yeah, the new Flash Gordon Tail Lights are doozies! If you want to see more of this kind of “styling,” you need to go to Japan and see some of the older trains. OTOH, the new Cadillac Wagons have LED tail lights on either side of the tailgate that must be three feet long each! But I’d own the Caddie, especially the CTSV with it’s 755 hp. supercharged V8! Imagine taking some unsuspecting friends out to dinner in that sucker!
Looks a bit androgynous to me - but that seems to be the style these days, so who knows?
Can you link us to the source of the facts you are relying upon?
Can you supply additional facts from your source? Were the teens pushing from the front or back, and where were they standing with regard to the hazard lights on the car? What was the battery state on the car being pushed? Was the almost full moon visible or hidden by clouds? What were the weather conditions at the time? Was the road straight or curved? Hilly or level? Where was the car that was hit in relation to the lanes on the road? Any flares set out? What time Saturday night?
He must have been in a fistfight right before he got in the vehicle, then. The contusions on his face look pretty fresh.
“Can you link us to the source of the facts you are relying upon? “
You need a study to know that you can see lights from a pretty good distance?
Should I send along a source for a paper to know that you should wipe your rear after taking a dump too so you can be sure?
Jesus, not everything need academic papers so you can have permission to believe it.
We always had a larger family ride and a smaller car for my wife, and I usually had a company pickup.
Suburbans for years, then downsized to a Ford Expedition ( if it has a Triton engine, just run away).
My wife selected a Prius V (wagon)for her driver, I love it!
Also, the dog crate that I modified to just fit behind the rear seat and tailgate of the sub, is an exact fit behind the seat in the Prius. Plenty of room for camping gear and the dog.
Our daughter and son in law just bought a new sub, so I’m still familiar with them.
No need to always drag around an extra 3,000 pounds of iron.
I’m just asking you for the source of the information that the hazard lights were on with the disabled car. Either you can provide that, or admit you made up your version out of whole cloth. Or do the usual and lash out.
Looks like someone was driving too fast or not watching the road.
No need to convince me. I have an F150 for sale with the 5.4L Triton engine because I downsized to a Ranger extended cab. I also bought a fun little Mustang with the 4.6L modular engine. Vroom Vroom. Fun! The F150 is simply more than what I need these days.
My dad is very much into gas mileage. Always has been. I think the only reason he didn’t buy a Prius is because I call them a “Penis”. He probably didn’t want to hear me asking how his Penis is running all the time.
One thing I learned about the Ford V8’s is the aftermarket tuners available for them are well worth it. It not only makes them run better, stronger, and on regular gas; it makes the automatics shift better and at a better time in the power band. Well worth the money. A better running engine will last longer too.
Unfortunately, you're correct. Then perhaps I'll appreciate heaven even more after I die (AGAIN!)
Texting and driving... My guess.
What i hate is “Careless” driving due to intoxication, under the influence of drugs or alcohol, texting, tuning the radio, eating while driving, drinking (anything) while driving, reading while driving (books, magazines, sales flyers, maps) talking on a phone that is not hands free, putting on makeup, disciplining children, trying to fasten a seatbelt, reaching for a dropped object, or any other of a myriad ways to be distracted while driving.
The size and speed of a vehicle does effect the energy at impact, however, a driver paying full attention to the road prevents an incalculable number of accidents and deaths. Be RESPONSIBLE drivers at all times!
Don’t hate inanimate objects, they don’t think or act independently and are not at fault. Pray for those injured and left behind, hope that those killed belong to our Lord Jesus the Christ, ask for forgiveness for the one responsible, and for salvation for all involved. Amen.
Holy crap...amazing.
“Headlights would have seen the car from far back. Hazard lights would have alerted the other driver from maybe even further.”
Exactly what here was a definitive statement of fact? These are common-sense assumptions based on the time of day (night), and the expected things that were supposed to be present in this circumstance (hazard lights and headlights).
If you drive around at night without headlights or dont activate your hazards in the dark when your car is stopped in the road, then you are just irresponsible or plain stupid.
Yup.
It’s a sure sign that a Republican is in the White House...the SUVs start hunting for victims.
In oregon there was a storm on the highway. Visibility was down. He stopped at a jack-knifed truck but then another truck jacknifed behind him and took him into a 3 foot wide sandwich.
The firewall of the truck was torn away and he slid out underneath the dashboard.
Other vehicles were hitting the two semis too, but there is no first hand recollection of what else happened.
my SUV is only based on this truck. But with it there are more protective zones, a frame that surrounds more of the passenger cabin and the like.
As another story, I used to own a 1987 Toyota 4Runner. I loved that truck, and being in Colorado I was at the top of the food chain (Ask a Coloradoan what they think of 80’s Toyotas). It didn’t happen to me, but on a stretch of highway during a snow storm one flipped over. The whole rear roof section came off, the passengers were tossed -in their seat- and the rollbar decapitated one of them.
That’s not a safe SUV.
And yeah, last week I got into an argument about how motorcycles are too dangerous and now freepers are telling me that SUVs are too big and too dangerous.
There is a goldilocks zone in here somewhere..
