From what I have read in numerous links,sites,the NYPD who were forced to hand a copy of the hard drive over to FBI told them in no uncertain terms that if they(the FBI) don't prosecute the criminals and criminality found within the computer they the(NYPD) will.

What they(NYPD) saw on huma/weiners laptop upset them so bad,the pronogrpahy,pedophilia that they(NYPD) made it known they will not settle for anything less than prosecutions.

Nothing is single copy-— not to incredibly talented long experienced “street” investigators. Including old style ones who used to carry “throw down” pistols for cases where the thug would have gotten off legally. Not saying that’s right— but it saved a lot of family grief, and was ... correct.
