We hadn’t tasted real victory since Ronald Reagan left office. We hadn’t seen violent political offenders walk off with misdemeanors after multiple bludgeoning attacks on us. We could still vent on Youtube and Facebook, or listen to those who did.
Too many could still pretend that this is not a low intensity, existential war.
