No he wouldn’t be. The GOP leadership who has spent years being friends with Sessions has clearly indicated that they will support impeachment if he does, and short of that, they will not confirm a replacement.
That means he would have AG Rosenstein.

Timing is everything. If Trump fired him now, the entire deep state, Dems and RINOs would scream obstruction of justice and prolong the attacks. I think Trump knows this will eventually play out and doesn’t want to give them anything to extend what is already going on.
Trump has even more power in the case of Rosenstein. The Deputy AG post was never established by Congress and can be eliminated by executive order. Do you realize that Trump can set up almost an entirely new DOJ structure without any approval from Congress?
