Well I’d say you are over-thinking it yourself! But in a good way! That’s a very good point. But I still think he needed to find some way to tie some kind of crime to Trump and this is one way - but very weak. However, he may get Cohen to cop to being a “co-conspirator” to other crimes.

Still, it won’t go to criminal court since POTUS cannot be indicted. It can drag out in civil court though where these issues will be fought out in pre-trial motions. The main thing was, imo, to break the privilege in some fashion and once he did that he would get him to confess, under immunity, to a bunch of “crimes” he did with Trump as co-conspirator. And they will be using it as a political, not a legal, weapon.

And because it won’t be going to court, Trump will be named an “unindicted co-conspirator” Trump has no way to defend himself and the justice system is used to simply smear Trump - just like they tried to do in 2016 with the Steele Dossier which, btw, if Trump and Cohen are guilty so is Hillary and Perkins Coie and Fusion GPS and Glenn Simpson and 2 dozen employees of DOJ/FBI/CIA etc. They used campaign money to buy dirt from Russians, co-conspiring with Perkins Coie. They all contributed to influence the election without declaring their contribution as an in-kind contribution.

You had a spineless AG and a deep state special counsel who went on a fishing expedition.

Should have never paid the women off. How many would have changed their vote based on that?

The Fake Media, in an effort to stay afloat, has resorted to the Yellow Journalism tactic of guilt-by-association. In Jouarnalism 101, guilt-by-association is a false conclusion.

"So Cohen is pleading guilty to a crime he did not commit."

This was by intent. The public will think the non-crime was a crime, even though, because of the plea, it won't be tested in a courtroom.

“Sessions is Q”
.
.
.
Sessions is in the pocket of the Deep State. He was a plant in the campaign.

Sessions is the “insurance policy”

Deep State is Q. “Trust the Plan”

If Sessions was on Trump’s side, he would resign.

I might have given some credence to Q early on, but now I realize it’s a deep state ruse to convince everyone that Sessions is /ourguy/. Wrong. He’s the “insurance policy”.

If anyone thinks sessions is a white hat still, is gullible at best...and what happened to the all knowing oracle, Q ?

Sessions is a pawn of the Deep State, and Q is their messenger.

it is sobering to see the horrors of and holes in our “justice” system. it is also disillusioning to realize that no one can be trusted when in the vise of a prosecutorial squeeze and abuse. Deep State is a many armed, deeply entrenched monster. i must say the manipulation of Cohen into that tortured plea re campaign finance to kind of get at the Prez is a startling new scary low for Justice Dept. keep fighting, Mr. President. we see what is going on - and know who is on our side.

So Cohen is pleading guilty to a crime he did not commit.

That's the funniest part. Cohen, who is a lawyer, and his lawyer lanny the fanny are pretty dumb.

Yes exactly. They wanted to smear Trump with the same brush and break the client-attorney privilege. Now Trump may become an “unindicted co-conspirator” on many more charges made by Cohen and as you said it won’t be tested in court and Trump won’t be able to offer a defense. It is all politics.

I don’t know and don’t think it would be wise to guess but it’s something he had that nobody else did and they did this to get it so it can be legally introduced into evidence before a grand jury.

Where would we all be if the well connected could
