In Kenya back in the late 70’s - early 80’s, measles was killing 35,000 children each year.
All medical organizations worked very hard to get all children vaccinated. In Uganda, we even were vaccinating children in the cattle camps of the semi-nomadic Karamojong. If any cases of measles occurred, the chief would isolate the child & his mother outside the camp.
