Listen carefully to how our Constitutional rights have been diminished by politicians who are and were very careless with that document. The Left/Liberals/Socialists/Marxists do not want the United States Constitution messing up their big federal government take over.

Make your mid-term vote be a referendum on keeping our Constitution and back to State's Rights.

I don’t think so. It’s the rats that have a problem as it is.

How often has this happened? When was the last one?

do not want the United States Constitution messing up their big federal government take over.

That includes those you mention in the GOP, too, which is why the GOP will bend over backwards to give the left anything they want in a Convention of States. Be careful what you wish for. This will not end the way you think it will.

I’m from Ok and do not respect Tom Coburn. He said he’d limit his term in the House, then ran for Senate... also, responded to me with lame letter after he voted for the Porculous Bill.

IIRC it was a Convention of the States in 1932 which ratified the 21st Amendment which repealed Prohibition; proponents feared that going to state legislatures for ratification might fail to obtain the necessary 36 states as many states preferred to remain dry (as they could do when the 21st took effect).

I voted for Tom Coburn when he first entered politics.
Over time though, he radically shifted to the far left. He became one of the RINO POS boosters for Obamacare very early on.

If Tom Coburn is the answer, then the question was “how do we give up more freedoms. Every time.

.
You are correct.

Coburn had become a Deep State backer before he rose to the senate. (could be how he made it into the senate)

In my opinion, Mark Levin and his idea of a Convention of the states is very good... in theory. In practice, I am of the belief that the Left and the raging moderates who constantly aid and give in to the Left, will end up destroying our few remaining constitutional rights. They will make official what the Deep State already practices, and what it covertly covets.

We are not going to get back to the same degree of Liberty that we enjoyed under the Founding Fathers, or even in the 19th century, overnight. It is going to have to be reclaimed by the people in the same way that it was stolen, salami slice by salami slice. We are making great progress now, with Trump having put 26 judges on the various circuits, and coming up on 2 Supreme Court Justices, all within far less than 2 years. This is, of course, only a small start. A bigger problem is that you have a whole bunch of state legislatures, and a bureaucracy on both the federal and state levels, that are completely invested in the idea of a super large and powerful government that must run our lives because we are too stupid to run them ourselves. The biggest problem is that the educational establishment and the news media or fully in bed with the Deep State. It is literally going to take a couple of generations to turn this thing around, if it is possible to do so at all. We are going to have to continue to hope for continued economic gains in this country as the free market is gradually allowed to reassert itself, combined with some notably tragic failures in the Socialist World, such as what Venezuela is going through right now. I hate to have to root for other people to be miserable, but the overall cause of human happiness will be increased every time a socialist state fails miserably.
