The hard Left defines the country as what it can be under Marxism. That is the country to them.
The free market, free exchange of ideas country...that is not what America is to them...that is the enemy.
The RadLeft is out to destroy the old and bring in the new.
It is a religion to them. They are like Mormon missionaries knocking on your door, but they are not nice or polite.
They are true believers.
Obama told us that he was a true believer...and so did Brennan by his actions.
We are in the midst of a war for our country.
It is not a civil war because they are not civil.
That said, it is existential and not just for the country. If they win, we are dead men walking.

I agree with all you said but have a slightly different perspective on the above.
Imo, it’s only the Thought Bosses that have that belief/goal in mind.
The rank and file are those who’ve never progressed, emotionally, psychologically, mentally past the idiot child stage. There is no thinking among them. They are pure feelz. And they feelz what their Thought Bosses tell them to feelz, without a single critical thought.
That’s how you can get 4th wave feminists who rant and rave on everything, even to the point of claiming all penis in vagina sex is rape, regardless of circumstances, and support Sharia Law, female genital mutilation and the burka.
There is no thinking. Therefore, facts, regardless of how obviously true, mean nothing to them. There is no relation of cause to effect in any of their world views, and it matters not a whit to them.
The roughness of life used to control the pop size of that particular subclass of humanity. It doesn’t anymore. And there’s no peaceful way to deal with them.
