ATTORNEY: FORMER IT AIDE IMRAN AWAN DESERVES NO JAIL TIME BECAUSE TRUMP, REPUBLICANS WERE MEAN

An attorney filed a sentencing memo on behalf of former House IT aide Imran Awan, claiming that President Donald Trump, other Republicans, and “conspiratorial media” attacks serve as a sufficient substitute for jail time for his client’s bank fraud conviction.

Attorney Chris Gowen, a former aide to Hillary Clinton, argued to Judge Tanya Chutkan, a President Barack Obama-appointee, that Imran should be spared jail, in part because of Trump, who engaged in “incoherent rambling” about the former IT aide.

“Considering … the conduct of several government officials, including the president of the United States, Imran Awan respectfully requests this court to sentence him to time served with a fine of $4,004,” Gowen wrote in the sentencing memo filed Wednesday.

Nothing is going to happen to this guy. He already cut a plea deal, and the liberal media have been holding Wasserman-Schultz up as a heroine for ‘standing by’ him. They are also criticizing Trump, Republicans, and ‘right wing’ sites for promulgating conspiracy theories. It’s disgusting.

I’ll bet it took a lot of Clinton Crime Machine money to pay everyone involved off.

I’ve got to try this excuse at my next traffic court. I’m sure the judge will also think that the traffic cop was REAL mean to me and let me go.

I’m sure a liberal judge would say, “Nowhere in the Constitution or Bill of Rights does it say people have a right to be mean. Case dismissed.”

Further evidence of the “pussification” of the United States.

I humbly disagree. In the end, Awan is going to be the fall guy and he will mysteriously die of Arkancide. Then the book will be closed on everything.

Sadly a D.C. jury will totally buy that argument.

“Tanya Chutkan, a President Barack Obama-appointee,”

He walks and we will never know how big the security breach was and given his level of access was it BIG.

Using the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and the basic charge information, Imran faces a sentence of 21 to 27 months in Federal Prison. So it will be interesting if the Judge accepts a plea deal with no prison time.

Note I thought that Anthony Weiner received a very short sentence, but after reviewing the Federal Sentencing Guidelines and the basic charge information for his case I discovered that the sentencing was in line.

I have to laugh at this normally ridiculous excuse — except for the real possibility that this could actually get him off.
