I’m thinking that a couple of the not so long ago decisions by the 9th (almost sounding sane) indicate that it has been in the mill for a while and they got wind of it....Trump seems to have an uncanny sense for the proper time to initiate some of his ‘projects”....

This way the dims anger and hypocrisy loses focus.
Trump wins game set and match.
Split it, re-assign liberal justices to Spokane-Reno-Phoenix-Orange Co. or similar conservative locales causing numerous retirements
He needs to find a bunch of clowns with big red noses and squeaky shoes and robes who all emerge from one of those tiny cars.
Fill the openings, fill them now.
Unlike Ryan, Turtle does seem to have some use.
He has done a good job on getting some of these judges thru the system.
I would have to pinch myself to be sure I am not dreaming. The 9th circuit is a complete disaster and needs an overhaul badly.

It would be fun to hear the hallway conversation in the chambers if Trump loaded the vacant seats with originalists.

If the GOP holds the house and Senate after the mid terms; Split the 9th in two, New court to cover Alaska, Washington and Oregon. Base the Court in Alaska, assign the oldest justices on the 9th to the new court.
Most will likely retire rather than move, more openings to put conservatives in. And of course, back fill the 9th with a majority of conservatives.

I still think the 9th covers too much territory and should be broken up into 2 courts. Maybe getting more conservative judges on the 9th is just the first step.
Trump should have started with the 9th, not left it until just before the next election.

The tradition about the home state senators is nice - but cleaning house/Draining the Swamp at the 9th is an emergency. Must be done
