A judge in Washington state on Tuesday dismissed a climate change lawsuit filed against the state by a group of child activists.

King County Superior Court Judge Michael Scott ruled in favor of the State of Washington’s motion to dismiss the lawsuit, Aji P. v. State of Washington. The 13 young activists in the suit argue that the state is violating their constitutional rights through actions that cause climate change.

Judge Scott ruled that issues brought up in the case are political questions that cannot be resolved by a court, and must be addressed by Congress and the president.

Dismissed on the wrong grounds. Shoved it off on the CONgress and President instead of dismissing it for having ZERO merit. Poor oppressed little junior eco wankers and future antifa assclowns. Now, go fetch me a switch.

US courts should have some sort of screening process to weed out frivolous lawsuits before they reach a court room. Plaintiffs should be required to pay all fees and a penalty. Plaintiffs and their lawyers with outrageous claims...like hot coffee on the lap...should be summarily executed.

It might be interesting if an actual case went to court to disprove global warming.

Child activists? So we are to take our marching orders from kids? And they know everything because their source of information is what? God help us!
Btw, a great video on the topic by Owen Benjamin: It’s time: Listen to the children. https://youtu.be/4lDgugq8cfg

So, this judge decides it’s not up to the court to decide. Yet didn’t the supremes make some sort of ruling a while back? Same crap, different day. Lucky for us that America was never that great anyway. Right andy?

I am waiting for someone to file lawsuit against the state of Kalipornikate for air pollution from wildfires as a result of their actions on the prevention of proper forest management.

I think most of those kids have long since moved on to the next fad, and couldn't care less about this extra credit assignment.

Well, we here in Reno could probably do that. We were smoked out for about 2 weeks straight.

Yes, I have been wondering that as well. Every summer California forest fires pollute the air that Nevadans breathe. It has been especially terrible this year. I’m all for a class action lawsuit against California.

Actually going in to court might be what they were most afraid of.

Imagine having to prove ‘climate change’?

A dismissal is their BEST result here.

Now they can whine about it endlessly.

” cannot be resolved by a court, and must be addressed by Congress”

What a concept. Why didn’t the founding fathers think of this?

That happened a few years ago in DC where some jughead law professor got his students to go to a high end local restaurant for dinner in cutoffs and sandals. They were denied service on the basis that they didn’t meet the restaurant’s dress policy. They, of course, then sued the restaurant for discrimination. The judge promptly threw the case out and chewed the students and their advising professor out for wasting the court’s time on such nonsense, as if they couldn’t get a meal at the other 10,000 restaurants that had no such policy.

The smoke from CA fires is making it all over the country. We are smoked in here in the Inland Northwest.

This suit wasn’t brought by “child activists”, it was brought by adults using children as Legislative Human Shields.

Excellent point. They knew (at least their lawyer knew) it would be dismissed, but they now get what they want -- a public platform to cry about how they are denied their future. More Hoggs in the making here.

Where’s Hogg Boy? You’d think he’d want to get in on the fun seeing as his 15 minutes have expired in Parkland.
