Trump really needs to do some campaign rallies in Black neighborhoods in the deepest Blue big cities.....New York, Chicago, Philly, Detroit. Not in the suburbs, but in close proximity to Black neighborhoods. He may not carry New York, but I actually think he’s got a shot at Illinois, though that’s beside the point.
He needs to show Black voters that he’s not afraid to come to their neighborhoods and talk to them, because he’s so committed to not only helping them, but also to proving his sincerity to them.
Imagine the optics of curious Black people lining up to go to a Trump rally, if only to give the guy a fair shake, and being screamed at by crazed White Left wing protestors. Imagine Bill DeBlasio and Rahm Emanuel accusing Trump of trying stir up chaos by taking his message into “enemy territory”, and potentially causing a riot, because they know that the Left wingers in their own cities aren’t capable of controlling themselves. Trump should dare these two Mayors to declare that the President coming to their cities to speak to Black voters is something beyond the pale that should not be allowed to take place.
This needs to happen, and soon. It’s right up Trump’s alley.

That’s a fine idea, but it’s going to take some formidable planning to pull it off. You may remember early in the campaign (Spring 2016) Trump had a rally scheduled for the University of Illinois / Chicago campus - that’s just a few miles north of some tough South Side neighborhoods, and even closer to some of the worst West Side neighborhoods. And you may remember it had to be canceled because of near rioting (blamed by the media slime on Trump supporters, but actually instigated by the SIEU and other leftist thugs).
The lengths the local leftists went to in order to ruin that rally tells me they fear exactly what you suggest - that Trump really has the potential to pull urban blacks and Hispanics off the plantation. The fact that they succeeded in in derailing that effort in 2016 tells me if the Trumpists want to pull off that sort of approach, they’re going to have to be very careful in how they plan such an event.
