The constitution is written in English. Every law in every state is written in English. Competence in English is required for citizenship. We don't need multilingual ballots.
BTW, this is one area where Mexico is way ahead of the US. Every ballot there is printed in Spanish.

Move to France, become a Citizen (or not) and demand that Government issued materials be printed in not only English, but every other Language under the Sun.

I am of the opinion that a constitutional amendment that establishes American English as the official language for all laws, treaties, court cases and administration of the Federal government, is long past due. The government should be allowed to produce translations where necessary, however the final language of record should any conflict in meaning, translation or interpretation should be based exclusively on the English.

Qualifications for US citizenship require the ability to understand English. Therss no need to provide election materials in any other language.

A person can’t meaningfully participate in the public policy arena if they can’t understand the language.

43 years ago NYC was forced to produce billingual ballots in the Bronx, Manhattan and Brooklyn. The problem was...Puerto Ricans. They were American citizens, living in the US and spoke only Spanish.
Just another example of our government at work.

The “Comprehensive Immigration” talking points spouted by Marco Rubio and others call for learning English, paying fines and taxes, etc., as part of the “Path to Citizenship.”
Multilingual ballots are thereby superfluous. Something doesn’t compute.

"Countries?" Little slip 'o the tongue there on the part of the author...or slip of the keyboard. Gaynor is right, of course. The official language of the U.S.A. is English, and beyond the many other unnecessary and detrimental costs, officious uses of other languages amount to a serious national security risk for the near future.

Just think how different this country would be now if English First had been adopted. The public schools alone would have benefitted imensely. . . not to mention the taxpayer.

We have that Spanish carpola on the ballot in GA. This year they were handing out stickers to wear afterwards that said “,I voted”. Then underneath “,yo vote,” I refused to take one.
