Kris Kobach continued to build on his lead in the Republican primary election for Kansas governor on Tuesday, building his lead to 345 votes over Jeff Colyer after the Johnson County Board of Canvassers certified its vote count to include provisional ballots. Kobach picked up 325 votes in Johnson County after provisional ballots were included, while Colyer picked up 301.

It looks like Kris Kobach is picking up votes in every county. He gained votes even in Johnson County, which comes as a surprise at least to me and apparently many others. He should win when all of the provisional votes are counted.

That’s good, b/c the last time I read about this race, Kobach’s lead had just shrunk down to 101 votes! I thought the Dems were about to snatch the baby outta the cradle again. A 300+ point lead means it’s not as easy to cheat.

This is the Republican Primary, very unlikely to find cheating. They are counting Provisional Ballots. Lawyers are having arguments about how to call spoiled or unallowable ballots.

Yay!

I had my worries when they found all those votes in Johnson County.

You would assume a GOP stronghold, but you never know with the Never Trumpers.

It was a primary. Colder is ok. Although he did sign a big school bill. We did vote for Kobach. Partly to make the heads of our lib friends explode.

I voted for Jeff Colyer in Johnson County. Both men are good guys. Sadly one has to lose.
Colyer is more electable in November as Kobach will draw big donations to the Rat party candidate from out of state.

Every vote counts.

I went to vote in my CT primary this morning - because every vote counts.

the Dummycraps must be slipping. Usually when they cheat, they “find” a truckload of ballots..not a car trunk.

There are more than a few liberals in Johnson county. I’m surprised by this news. Hope it continues.

Which is to say one of my friends lived over there. I believe he finally admitted to being a Hillary supporter.

Much to my disappointment.

I may be wrong about this, but my understanding is that a provisional ballot usually falls into one of two categories:

1. It was cast by someone whose eligibility to vote may not have been clearly determined on the day of the election (in a closed primary like the one in Kansas, this may also include voters whose Republican Party registration was in question).

2. It was cast by someone who voted at the wrong location and may have not been listed among the registered voters in his or her precinct.

The second one is the source of a lot of misunderstanding in voter canvassing. In presidential elections, the vast majority of provisional ballots end up being cast for the Democrat candidate. This is for two simple reasons: (1) Democrat voters aren't quite as bright as Republicans, and therefore more likely to have problems with their voter registration; and (2) voting in the incorrect precinct is far more likely to occur in urban areas where voting locations could be several blocks apart, unlike rural areas where they may be miles apart. Urban voters are overwhelmingly Democrats.

In Kansas, you receive a Republican or a Democrat ballot based on your affiliation on the voter rolls. If you are “unaffiliated” on the voter rolls, you may choose a Republican or Democrat ballot. Democrats can’t cast a vote on a Republican ballot.

Most provisional ballots go to people who report to the wrong precinct, either because they have recently moved, or they thought that they could vote at any precinct. In Kansas, they check your ID and ask you your address, Fail on those points will either result in a provisional ballot or they are not allowed to vote. Before provisional ballots are counted, the eligibility of the voter is verified, and for which ballot they can use.

Kris Kobach is the one who recently proclaimed that the Democrats intend to replace US voters with Foreign voters.

He claimed this was the long term goal of the Democratic Party.

This information about the attack by Democrats on ICE gives the 'why' of the attack on ICE Democrats. It makes sense now that if you want millions of foreign voters in the US, you need to do away with ICE.
