On the Today show, discussing the Situation Room meeting in which she was fired, Omarosa accuses White House Chief of Staff General John Kelly of "false imprisonment."
> Not clear what protections she has in mind? <
I’ll bet she’s talking about the Whistleblower Protection Act of 1989. But she’s wrong. The Act does not shield you from criminal prosecution. And Omarosa committed a crime when she used a recording device in a secure area.
Now the only question is whether or not the Rule of Law will apply. Hillary was too far up the ladder to be prosecuted. Is Omarosa likewise safe?

I would guess that rather than someone paying her, she is planning to make money via sales of her book, “Unhinged.”
She managed to work the name of the book into her interview with Savannah Guthrie several times.
Blackmail would be the only kind of protection I can think of.
The Face of VILE, EVIL DEMOCRAT LIAR!
She could be referring to the Whistleblower Protection Act.
Who’s the idiot who hired her?
She didn’t KNOW she was going to be fired. She obviously taped EVERYTHING! Nasty woman.
She is gossip mongering so far as I can tell. Has she uncovered anything illegal?
Even if Trump and Kelly were running up and down the hallways screaming the N word, thats not illegal.
Supposedly, she broke NO law in what she did!! That was what Fox & Friends said today!
In addition to the race card, Omarosa also played the sexism/#metoo card during her Today interview:
“It’s not acceptable for four men to take a woman into a room, lock the door and tell her she cannot leave.”
You bring up an interesting point. I've been in a number of interviews to hire people. On of the questions we ask of potential hires is what they expect of their leadership. With Afro-Americans and especially females, the common respect is respect. The first few times I heard it, I thought it odd. But as it became more and more of a theme it dawned on me there is something cultural. I'm not sure where it's originating whether it be school, church or other entity, but it's really common. Because of time, we really haven't tried to determine what the word specifically means to them.
Wonder if she’ll include her half sister, Occluded-Cortex, on the campaign trail?
I assume she means whistleblower statutes.
It was obvious from her behavior on The Apprentice that this woman has emotional and psychological problems
She only became famous because she was so nutty she was entertaining - like a train wreck
Trump brought this into his house by his misguided sympathy for underdogs - for a brilliant tycoon, he seems to misjudge some people really badly
Probably because if there was no law, no normal person would be taping things in the Situation Room.
Missing from this thread is the temperament of Gen Kelly and a false accusation. He will dismantle her and sue her in court. He does not play or suffer fools. Defamation.
The tape makes Kelly look very professional. It doesn’t help Omarosa.

If the White House Situation Room is designated a SCIF, which it likely is, she broke a bunch of laws and regulations. Just bringing in a portable electronic device is a violation, even if she didn’t use it.
She thinks she was disrespected

She’s right. I don’t respect her.
The WH is turning this into a 'war of words' instead of a legal matter. White House security and lawyers should be involved if for nothing else but to set up an offense.
I believe they don't want to be seen as attacking a black woman.
