EXACTLY!

And if they remove this “uncultured” mentality from the Marine Corps grunts, then they might as well send the Air Force mess hall guys to the front lines of combat, because that will be the same mentality that you have out there and the number of losses will be UNCONSCIONABLE!

I try to explain to people that I worked in FSSG, Base, MAW and MARDIV - the MARDIV is a completely different animal than any of those other three. We are talking OTHER-WORLDLY, in comparison! The put downs, wise cracks, pranks, language, THOUGHT PROCESSES were often too much for even fellow EFF-STICKS to handle! You must have the world’s toughest skin and sickest mind to play with those Devil Dogs!

AND THOSE ARE GUYS ARE JUST THEY WAY THEY NEED TO BE FOR A COMBAT ZONE!!

The Air Force would not let us in their clubs. If they could of they would have denied us access to their base. Poofters.

We went to 29 Palms. We were told that main side was strictly off limits to us and we could be court martialed if caught there.

Went to Bridgeport for cold weather training. We were told the px, barracks area, and the areas surrounding it were off limits and we had no business up there. Those mfers had no trouble taking our money at the pickle barrel place they set up to sell us beer and keep us corralled. I talked to a Marine I knew who went to Bridgeport with a non-grunt unit for training. He said they let them have access to the px and that area.

We had severe liberty restrictions on Okinawa and Korea. None of the non-grunt units had them. Went to NTA on Okinawa for training. We were restricted to our area and told we would be court martialed if we were caught in town.

The Corp did not like us much but they kept us around, on a short leash like a bad dog though.

I had a FAP at Camp Courtney on Okinawa, 6 months. I got to see the other side of the Corps. It was good. I was so use to living under a tight leash that I ran off and scammed out of everything I could. It was so easy there. I showed up for work everyday though and the idiots gave me 4.9, 4.9. Something that was utterly impossible in the Infantry. 4.5 was good in the grunts but considered a slap at those pog units. I dated some WMs though and ended up marrying one. The WMs liked me. I was a non-conformist bad boy grunt. You let grunts off their leashes and they are going to run loose and raise hell and try to screw every dog in heat in the entire area. They usually show up to work though, or are brought back. Drunk, hung over, smiling and seeing who can come up with the biggest lies about what they did while they were running loose. I think we just showed back up to see who made the duty log.
