Remember when we were terrorized as kids that we are all going to FREEZE due to the new Ice Age?

Incompetent fed and state government beaucrats are arguably helping to screw up environment.

And then we have to question if federal environmental regulations are based on constitutionally enumerated powers.

"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.

The record high temp for civic center yesterday in Los Angeles was set in 1881. 1881 population? number of vehicles, jet planes, trains?

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

This whole climate change crusade is proof the the people of the world only read headlines and are completely brainwashed to the weekly news cycle.

It’s impossible to remember what happened a year ago let alone decades ago.

I’d prefer the average temperature to increase. It’s happened before. Species’ die-offs too. I hate cold weather, and would hate any cold climate. Watt’s wrong with that?

We just ended a really cold winter and and unusually cold spring. Summer here has been warm, but not a scorcher compared to some of my youth.

Globally, this is shaping up to be fourth-hottest year on record. The only years hotter were the three previous ones.

Wait, wouldn’t that indicate a decline in Temps?
I guess I’m just not cut out to be a scientist...

I am in South Carolina and we have had stretches decades ago of over 100 degree days for long periods. What we are having this summer is mostly below normal highs with some exceptions. I can’t remember the last time it got hot enough to make an asphalt parking lot begin to turn sticky but I have certainly seen it happen long ago.
