Even with no new arrests, it would take four years to eliminate immigration court backlog

Increasing the number of judges and courts would be good, but we can also fix this with an accounting trick: LIFO - last in, first out.

Disadvantage - the invaders waiting for hearings now get to stay longer, which is a loss for Americans.

Advantage - new invaders coming here would get their hearings almost immediately. If the standards are strict, their prompt and permanent removal would remove the incentive to come here at all outside the regular, legal immigration system.

I’d call LIFO processing a net win for real Americans. As an added bonus, if it does cut the number of asylum claims, we would finally reduce the backlog.

I have advocated giving 5k to each to leave. It costs 10k to find, apprehend, hold and deport.

“In short, anyone physically present in the US can apply to the courts so ... everyone does.”

And THAT is why we need a WALL!

I say screw them AND the so-called “Courts.” Throw them back into Mexico like a fish into the sea.
