Multiple Corporate Social Media Platforms Simultaneously Ban Alex Jones for Thought Crimes…
theconservativetreehouse.com ^ | August 6, 2018 | Sundance

Posted on 08/06/2018 12:57:48 PM PDT by Bobalu

The corporate thought police moved in unity today to unperson Alex Jones and his Info Wars media site from popular social media platforms.

Imagine if BP, Exxon, Chevron and Sunoco all moved, on the same day, at the same time, to charge $5.00/gal for gasoline at their service stations. That would be illegal collusion to take advantage of a monopolistic position. That’s essentially what happened today when Facebook, YouTube, Apple and Spotify simultaneously banned the Alex Jones broadcast from their platforms; in an effort to purge him from the internet.

I know for a fact that google was started by DARPA money and has had government employees from the NSA embedded in their facilities since day one. These despotic corporations need to be regulated where they need to be crushed. If they get crushed that’s fine because in a free-market society someone else to come in and provide the service.

Wow! If you do a search on YouTube for “Alex Jones” the only thing that comes up are hit pieces on what a detestable nut job he is. While he is not exactly my go to guy for spot on reporting, it is really frightening just how fast and complete the hatchet job was.

First they came for Alex Jones and I didn’t do anything. Then they came after all conservative venues. Then they came for me but I went out in a hail of gunfire and beer bottles.

” And what if that doesn’t happen? Do you have half a trillion dollars in your back pocket?

Nobody’s going to take that massive market share with a couple of coders in a garage somewhere.

If we don’t smash them with the government, they aren’t going to get smashed.”

Well, ok? What does “smash” entail that is actual legal and constitutional?

If you do, that genie isnt going back into the bottle. If you want to use the state to make up for our laziness the past 10 years, then dont be shocked when it is used in a way that you wont like 10 years from now.

It’s coming VERY SOON! Twitter is itching to censor the president even if it means shutting the site down!! The hate runs deep into their black pedo hearts!! We knew it was bout to happening. It was just a matter of time ..these bastards have us by the $&@&! I just pray there are other avenues for information sites after they are done censoring conservative voices! I feel we are rapidly losing control of our nation..what to do? How do we stop this madness inflicted by the very few powerful tools the rats control?

A company may be in private hands but it may not discriminate or they could face monopolistic practices legislation, litigation may come into play. There is nothing (except money) to stop a banned individual or organization from challenging the companies to produce their “community standards” for all to see.

There is an alternative and it needs to go viral - it’s called MeWe. Everyone pass it on. Just type in MeWe in your search engine and it should come up.

It is an "We're going to get a NAZI government if we don't stop this" sort of issue.

I think Alex Jones would fall under freedom of the press.

Well, ok? What does “smash” entail that is actual legal and constitutional?

Constitutional intent is to secure freedom of speech. Have you ever heard of this concept known as Lèse-majesté. The British routinely punished people for offending the dignity of government officials.

The founders explicitly forbid government interference with those who would criticize the government, and several of them explained that the ability to speak freely was a necessary component of a democratic system.

Their intent was to prevent speech from being restrained, and they never thought such a thing would be possible by any force other than government, so they mention it and none other.

I have long argued that the danger is in allowing censorship, and who is doing it makes no difference so far as the consequences are concerned.

If you do, that genie isnt going back into the bottle. If you want to use the state to make up for our laziness the past 10 years, then dont be shocked when it is used in a way that you wont like 10 years from now.

Using the state to force compliance with the first amendment can hardly be turned around on us.

I use Youtube, but I have no use whatsoever for FB. I can't imagine why people want to put their lives on line for other people to see.

I'll check it out.

the president does have the Sherman anti trust act and it does have very strong powers. To control information in an monopolistic fashion is the same as if services or commodities are controlled by key players in a way that shuts out smaller competitors and can be acted against. They might not want Jones on their platforms but he does have a web site. Also there already is a court precedent(against Trump oddly enough) that all political speech cannot be blocked if others are being allowed equal access. Trump was told by a judge that he couldn’t block other twitter users because he was a public political figure. Also these companies use internet backbones partially subsidized by government and the FCC has some controls here. Oh I expect this will be challenged and even some liberal groups will have to back the challenges lest they be banned from giving out their views on conservative sites! Advertisers might not like the loss of revenue as well and may be screaming at these media companies right now.

Now everyone thinks Jones is a kook, yet why are they banning him then....is he over the target more times than not? Why is he living in these companies’ heads rent free?

The simultaneous action is most troubling as I doubt this is coincidental. Almost like price-fixing and collusion. Maybe this is angle for government to investigate and put a stop to these practices of banning people and groups.

He'll probably get banned too if he keeps this up.

Dr. David Jones is a dentist. He runs the Castle Dental franchise in Austin. I’ve never been there, but it doesn’t have the best reputation. Maybe he can be a dentist and CIA at the same time. That would be a weird Tom Clancy novel.
