The FBI Friday released 71 heavily redacted pages describing that it had corresponded with former British spy Christopher Steele, the author of a dossier alleging collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia, and revealed the agency was paying him to gather intelligence.
The records show Steele was being paid for work as a "confidential human source" for an unspecified amount of time, and that he'd told the FBI he had informed a third party he was acting as an agency source, reports NBC News.
In addition, the papers show the FBI had determined Steele was the source for an online news article.
Even though the FBI has labeled the released file as "Records between FBI and Christopher Steele Part 01 of 01," the former spy's name itself doesn't appear in the documents, notes the Washington Examiner.
The redactions make it impossible to tell when the FBI started paying Steele, NBC News reported. However, in February 2016, the agency "admonished" Steele. A federal law enforcement official explained that this simply means he was briefed on his duties of being an informant, not being punished or criticized.
Then, on Nov. 1, 2016, just a week before the presidential election, the FBI told Steele he should not "obtain any evidence whatsoever on behalf of the FBI," as it was not likely to keep working with him.

"Congressional investigators know that Christopher Steele, the former British spy who compiled the Trump dossier on behalf of the Clinton campaign, kept supplying allegations to the FBI after the 2016 election — and even after he was terminated as a source by the bureau for giving confidential information to the media.
Because he had broken his agreement with the FBI, bureau procedure did not allow agents to keep using Steele as a source. But they did so anyway — by devising a system in which Steele spoke regularly with Bruce Ohr, a top Obama Justice Department official whose wife worked for Fusion GPS, which hired Steele to search for dirt on Donald Trump in Russia. Ohr then passed on Steele’s information to the FBI.
In a highly unusual arrangement, Ohr, who was the fourth-highest ranking official in the Justice Department, acted as an intermediary for a terminated source for the FBI’s Trump-Russia probe. His task was to deliver to the FBI what Steele told him, which effectively meant the bureau kept Steele as a source.
Agents made a record of each time Ohr gave the bureau information from Steele. Those records are in the form of so-called 302 reports, in which the FBI agents write up notes of interviews during an investigation.
There are a dozen 302 reports on FBI post-election interviews of Ohr. The first was Nov. 22, 2016. After that, the FBI interviewed Ohr on Dec. 5; Dec. 12; Dec. 20; Jan. 23, 2017; Jan. 25; Jan. 27; Feb. 6; Feb. 14; May 8; May 12; and May 15. The dates, previously unreported publicly, were included in a July letter from Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, to the FBI and Justice Department.

We can hope, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the DOJ and FBI redacts documents they provide to the White House as well as withholding documents. They beleive themselves independent of any oversight but their own internal oversight.

So, reports like this get a shrug out of me and not much else.
I would love to see the “bonuses” that Mrs. Ohr received for this special access to her husband. This is another Demon-rat pay for play scheme. Ohr is the one who should be on trial.

So far they are 100% correct. There has not been one news article about this subject. There has not been one investigation. No one has been arrested. Sessions still doing nothing but covering for the Deep State. Deja Vu all over again!

The KEY to the Russia narrative is Christopher Steele.
Get him to talk and everything will fall into place.
He's clearly being ignored (and protected) by everyone for some reason.
I have no doubt he maintains a close relationship with British intelligence.
Two Republican House Intelligence Committee staffers went to London in June to talk to Steele, but were refused.
All they could do was leave their contact information at Steele’s office and with Steele’s lawyer who was meeting with Steele at the time.
An excellent conclusion, although Mueller may now realize that he’s swimming up stream. What’s his next move...will he drown or will someone throw him a life line?
No wonder the FBI is blocking this investigation.
Steele got $$$ from the FBI and Hillary’s legal team.
This is enough to prove Conspiracy involving the FBI, Hillary and probably the State Dept.
