Dinesh D'Souza: GOP lawmaker told me what's in my FBI file ("Right-Wing Conservative")
The Hill ^ | 08/03/18 | Jacqueline Thomsen

Posted on 08/03/2018 9:42:24 AM PDT by yesthatjallen

Conservative commentator Dinseh D’Souza said Friday that Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) revealed to him the contents of his FBI file.

D’Souza said on C-SPAN’s Washington Journal that DeSantis called him after the lawmaker received a redacted version of the FBI file through a congressional inquiry.

“Finally they gave the congressional committee the redacted file, and a congressman who saw that file called me,” D’Souza said. “And he goes, ‘Number one, your case is a $20,000 violation, but the FBI immediately assigned $100,000 to investigate your case.’ He said that’s extremely abnormal.”

D’Souza then said DeSantis was the lawmaker who called him.

DeSantis’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment by The Hill.

The three-term congressman and a vocal supporter of President Trump is a GOP candidate in Florida's gubernatorial race. He faces state Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam in the Republican primary later this month.

Trump repeated his endorsement of DeSantis at a rally this week.

D’Souza also said on C-SPAN that his FBI file states, “red-flagged, ‘Dinesh is a right-wing conservative.’”

“See, that shouldn’t be in my file because the whole point is that people who violate the law should be treated the same, the politics are irrelevant,” D'Souza said. “The reason the FBI put that in there is to alert the Justice Department: Hey this is a guy you may want to go after.”

Trump pardoned D’Souza in May after the commentator pleaded guilty in 2014 to making illegal campaign contributions. The president said D’Souza was treated “very unfairly by our government.”

The commentator says he was targeted by the Obama administration over his political views.

What’s missed here is that even D’Souza seems to accept that the FBI keeping a file on a public political commentator is normal.

Sorry, but the FBI has become the STASI and the KGB

I don’t want to hear one more Freeper call Putin a “thug,” while this shit goes on in the USA.

Exactly right. I’d guess the FBI has a thousand more times files on people fighting for freedom than on the subversive leftists working to destroy the US. They are the true internal enemies of the US, not the Disouzas.

Every freedom-loving American needs to adopt the following two rules:

1) Refuse to talk to the FBI. If you tell them you saw a blue sedan, they’ll tell you it was aqua and prosecute you for a process crime anyway.

2) If seated on a jury, and you find that the FBI handled ANY of the evidence, vote to acquit.

If we all do this continuously, the FBI will become a useless agency, and it will eventually go away.

Of course the FBI has tons of files... and guess who has access to them for dirt?

Does the name Craig Livingstone ring any bells?

From Wikipedia

“The White House FBI files controversy of the Clinton Administration, often referred to as Filegate,[1] arose in June 1996 around improper access in 1993 and 1994 to FBI security-clearance documents. Craig Livingstone, director of the White House’s Office of Personnel Security, improperly requested, and received from the FBI, background reports concerning several hundred individuals without asking permission. The revelations provoked a strong political and press reaction because many of the files covered White House employees from previous Republican administrations, including top presidential advisors. Under criticism, Livingstone resigned from his position. Allegations were made that senior White House figures, including First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, may have requested and read the files for political purposes, and that the First Lady had authorized the hiring of the underqualified Livingstone.

The matter was investigated by the House Government Reform and Oversight Committee, the Senate Judiciary Committee, and the Whitewater Independent Counsel. In 1998, Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr exonerated President Bill Clinton as well as the First Lady of any involvement in the matter. In 2000, Independent Counsel Robert Ray issued his final report on Filegate, stating that there was no credible evidence of any criminal activity by any individual in the matter and no credible evidence that senior White House figures or the First Lady had requested the files or had acted improperly or testified improperly regarding Livingstone’s hiring. A separate lawsuit on the matter brought by Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group, lingered on for years and was dismissed by a federal judge in 2010.”

The FBI has always been the STASI for the Clintons and Comey, Mueller, Rosenstein and the whole crew have been part of it for 25 years. Clean house DJT! Do it now!

The Kenyanesian Usurper corrupted our entire government.

He used every agency to advance his agenda, all of which was detrimental to the American people.

There were very good reasons for the founders to exclude the children of foreign nationals from being President with the natural born citizen requirement.

Natural born citizen have only one nationality.

Everyone should do a search for the public campaign contributions of these alphabet agencies. Supposedly contributions of DoJ employees went 97% for Clinton in 2016, the IRS was only 94%.

"...improper access in 1993 and 1994 to FBI security-clearance documents."

Clinton fired William Sessions, and appointed Acting Director Floyd I. Clarke. He served from 7/19/1993 to 9/1/1993. Then Louis Freeh took over.

Hi. All I’m going to say is that I had the security clearance to view my FBI file 40+ years ago.

All I said when I saw it was wow.

There were truth/facts, innuendo, and speculation...with pictures and testimony.

Don’t ask.

My FBI file is so weak, when Hillary illegally had 900 files transferred to her office in the WH, she sent mine back.
