[Ummm, blacks were only the majority in SC (58%) and MS (55%) in 1860... which was still the case three generations later in 1920 (51 and 52%, respectively), and then those numbers started to fall under 50% in 1930. Seems like it didn’t change much at all.]

This whole deal is so reminiscent of Matt’s books. Massacreing the farmers just like in the one book. Then I was taking to a couple expat Zed-A’s today, and they were saying that these guys, in addition to farms are asking why an old white couple has a three bedroom house to themselves, just like in the third book.
