I was recently watching a Dick Cavett show from 1971. The guest was Charlton Hesston. Charlton was saying actors were considered so low they could not get hotel rooms and such.
They were treated like the lowlifes of society.

I want to go back to those times.

Boarding houses used to have signs saying “No actors or dogs”. I can’t figure out what they had against dogs.
