The man basically fell from a telephone poll on to his back.He had chronic back pain and sometimes couldn’t do his show. Looks like he became addicted to these medications.
With all that went on, his wife dying and his son being raped by an HIV+ teacher, it may not have been as accidental as it is officially declared.

RE: Art Bell and Malachi Martin - I remember vividly the night I was in bed listening to Malachi Martin and Art. A listener called in and asked Martin “How can a person tell whether another person has sold his soul to the Devil?” Martin claimed that there are quite a few people who do actually make pacts with the Devil. He then mentioned a party he had attended in NYC. A friend took him to the party honoring a man who was much feted and seemed to always come out on top of every problem regardless of despicable behavior. Martin claimed that that was a characteristic of those who have done this - nothing touches them despite their faults. In this instance, Martin described how at the party, he and his friend approached the man to be introduced when Martin felt an extreme negative force surrounding the man, and he then told his friend that he no longer wished to meet this famous person.
I sat up straight in bed and thought “My God, he is speaking about Bill Clinton”. This was in the late 1990’s about the time of the Lewinsky affair. A few years later, I was listening to a radio talk show with Bob Dornan substituting as host, and Bob claimed that Malachi Martin had told him that Bill Clinton had sold his soul to the Devil.
Yes Art and Malachi Martin were a terrific due on radio.
So weird that he died on Friday the 13th, too.

Aliens staged it to look like he died of a overdose and not alien probing....
All it says is tha Bell was taking medications for his COPD, high blood pressure, and extreme back pain. We all knew that. That ain’t an overdose that is called his body wore out and it was time to go home.
Most anyone that is taking medications for such things would show the same on autopsy. Since most folks don’t have autopsy the death certificate just says natural causes....which is what this should have said. The sheriff didn’t say that he had lethal doses just those medications in his blood stream.

As one who has experienced spinal troubles for more than 25 years, I will second this. The pain can be maddening and no pill will stop it unless it knocks you out. Most won’t. I’ve been guilty of over medicating on numerous occasions and drinking with it, not caring as long as the pain went away for awhile

You don’t have to be addicted or old to have spinal pain that will absolutely drive you to the point of overdose. I’ve experienced at a fairly young age and it’s rearing it’s ugly head again in my middle years now.
