Roger Stone, the Trump adviser whose claimed contact with WikiLeaks put him in the crosshairs of special counsel Robert Muellers Russia probe, says President Trump should pardon WikiLeaks publisher Julian Assange to defend press freedom.
Journalists everywhere should be disturbed if Assange is kidnapped and put on trial. It is a blow to independent journalism and a free press, Stone told the Washington Examiner, as Assange's future becomes increasingly uncertain.
In justifying a pardon for Assange, Stone cites a conclusion by Obama administration officials that prosecuting Assange for publishing classified information could set a precedent allowing for prosecution of journalists employed by traditional news outlets.

I would rather one of President Trump’s US Attorneys cut a deal with Assange, giving Assange immunity only in exchange for damning testimony against the Deep State.
I would be ok with evidence on who gave him Hillary’s emails in exchange for a pardon.
How do you pardon an foreign national who is not a resident of the US and has never been convicted of a crime in the US?
In my opinion this is already part of the plan and will be done by appropriate methods. His testimony is key to unraveling the whole International DS conspiracy involving Five Eyes complicity and information sharing beyond what was intended. He has already stated unequivocally that the Russia Collusion is a hoax and that the Alphabet agencies have the tools to make things “look” like they came from X country but they never pass forensic analysis as to validity, just based upon their “assurance” that it is so.
I am a patient man as I have been involved in complex issue identification and remediation many times in my career and in this discipline you have to look objectively at all the variables and then execute, and friend and foe may fall but it is not personal, but for the best.
Trust the plan, this is what is taking all the time, due diligence and ferreting out structures that have been in place for decades
WWG1WGA!
Trump is a master tactician, and this has been thought through long before he became the Quarterback running the plays and it is for the win!
Sic Semper Tyrranis!
And at the moment an Equadorian citizen granted by their former President. If he retains said citizenship, they should not be able to throw Assange to the wolves by chucking him out of their embassy in London.
Trump can’t pardon Assange. Assange jumped British bail. The UK court has to pardon Assange.
You don’t need to be convicted, or even charged to be pardoned. And the US government claims worldwide jurisdiction on all kinds of people regardless of their nationality. We just tried to extradite a Swiss banker for not reporting American owned accounts to the IRS. We just charged a pack of Russians for posting things of Facebook that Hillary didn’t like.
We are in the process of making sports doping a US felony crime for any athlete, of any nationality, who competes anywhere on earth... IF there are 3 American athletes in the competition also.
So unfortunately, Assange needs a pardon.
Trump can pardon him for the crimes the US wants to charge him with. And the British and the underlying (dismissed) Swedish charge was a pretext to grab him, so he could be sent to Quantico and solitary.
Trump pardoning him basically kills the whole farce. And the Brits can charge him with jumping bail, on a dishonest charge the Swedes trumped up for our intel agencies.
No one man probably did more to get Trump elected by skewering Hillary than Assange did.
Agree. Most of what we know about the criminal mafia Clintons and Podestas are the result of Wikileaks.
Si Senor....
Consider all the options and actions necessary to accomplish the mission..
Execute and move forward
All part of the plan, Military style, not Political stuff and I have yet to see any hand wringing from our said that it will no nor cannot happen
For the MSM it has been and always will be “free speech for me, but not for thee”. They would love to see Assange thrown under the bus.
