As Portland mayor Ted Wheeler ordered the Portland Police Bureau to stand down and let the far left mob lay siege to the I.C.E. facility, employees at the building were helpless as they called for emergency services on at least two occasions due to the violence from the unhinged protesters. Police didn’t show up to help.
Now the I.C.E. employees are fighting back, threatening to sue the city for a violation of their 14th Amendment rights to equal protection under the law.
Willamette Week reports:
The union that represents U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers says on at least two occasions last month two federal ICE employees called the Portland police while being harassed by protesters—but cops did not show up, because the Portland mayor had ordered them not to intervene.

ICE shouldn’t have to sue them. The American taxpayers should be suing them. It’s the taxpayers who have to pay for these border-jumping freeloaders to have their “better life”.

OK, someone correct me if I am wrong, but could it be so simple as to halt ALL federal funding to cities, counties, states, whoever; if they will not enforce federal law?

The admin. tried, a judge ruled against last week. It is fine for cities to not enforce the law, but illegal for the federal government to withhold funds on those grounds, apparently. It makes your head spin — there is no rhyme or reason whatsoever to how these judges rule. They contradict themselves from case to case. And nobody does anything about it.
The Portland mayor was aiding and abetting criminal activity. Charges should be filed.

Watch for one little 4 foot 10 inch tall judge to emphatically rule that ICE and Trump have no power. He alone has the power and he says hands off the illegals and the Mayor.

Seems odd to me also. I wouldn’t expect ICE to open fire on the crowd surrounding an ICE employee’s car (not yet, at least), but several gallons of highly pressurized pepper spray or a night stick shampoo from a significant ICE contingent...
Well, that would only be the minimum I would expect in a situation like that. Really...they need to look out for their own.
Maybe...but discovery in this case may provide evidence that the Mayor specifically told the cops not to act! if that happens the mayor is toast IMO!
