MSNBC anchor Chris Hayes admission that climate change is a ratings killer has infuriated environmentalists who accused the liberal network of being more concerned about its bottom line than with fighting global warming.
Asked about his networks lack of climate-change coverage, Mr. Hayes tweeted Tuesday that almost without exception. every single time weve covered its been a palpable ratings killer. so incentives are not great.
His frank assessment was met with chuckles from climate skeptics like Anthony Watts, who called it hilarious, but true, given that global warming typically brings up the rear on polls and surveys of top voter concerns.

When I read tripe like this, I always ask myself, “What is an environmentalist?”
just how many tons of CO2 does an acre of burning forest omit? Imagine the ‘Offset’ needed from fossil fuel users to balance that!
Climate Change could be a huge revenue stream.
When they stop flying, driving SUVs, and living in mansions, I’ll start listening to their dire predictions.
Our tax dollars allow NPR to weave baloney climate change into many of its segments. Lots of people only listen to radio on the way to, and from work, and listen to NPR. I can’t believe we still fund this monstrosity.
-—— “fighting global warming.”-——
What does that even mean when the earth hasn’t gotten warmer in 20 years or more...
Of the 30 issues of concern to Americans, Climate Change didn’t make the list according to Gallup.
Earth is 4.54 billion years old...
We’ve had climate change for 4.54 billion years....
He is a flaming faggot?
People just don’t dig #FakeScience?! Who’da thunk it?
There are a small number of people on both sides who are obsessed. One side has the idea that global warming is a catastrophe. The other believes that manmade warming is 100% fake. They are both wrong, but they add a huge amount of noise to the comment sections and make it look like lots of people care.
But really almost nobody cares, even liberals don't care except for their usual caring about issues that can be weaponized like "ripping children from the their parents". Liberals certainly don't care about children.
Manmade warming IS 100% fake. Man is a ‘fart in a windstorm’.
The fire only increases the rate at which the co2 is released. After it burns, there is nothing left to emit.
Trees and forests are really not long term storage of CO2. Obviously a tree trunk will store the CO2 longer than a limb, which is longer than a branch, which is longer than a leaf, which is longer than a blade of grass.
But a tree trunk lying on the ground is not coal or oil. Coal and oil will store CO2 indefinitely(millions and billions of years), or until you dig them up and burn them.
On the other hand, think about all the trees that are logged each day, week, month, year then sent to a pulp mill.
On the other hand, think about how many acres of forest are slashed and burned each and every year so farmers have land to farm in South America and Africa.
Don’t forget taking private jets to advance fuel conservation!!!
Remember folks they started out with global warming....then then records showed the earth was actually cooling. That’s when they switched to climate change....which is always happening!!!
Couldn’t have said it better myself!
“On the other hand, think about all the trees that are logged each day, week, month, year then sent to a pulp mill. “
Those trees were planted after the previous generation of planted trees were harvested.
“What does that even mean when the earth hasnt gotten warmer in 20 years or more...”
That “global warming” was a slip. I don’t know what the newest label for the farce is.
It is “climate change” - since it was apparent to too many normals that the Earth wasn’t getting warmer. Now if we get rain two days in a row we hear it is due to man-made “climate change”. When Hurricane Maria wrecked Puerto Rico, we were told it was white peoples’ fault for that very reason (an advance notice of who was getting the bill).
Botanical material is not a enduring way of storing CO2.
