"....recorded on Earth". Well at least they didn't toss in a "recorded" temperature from Venus. Again, RECORDED! Anything that happened prior to "record keeping" doesn't matter. Grrrrrrrr. I really can stand these fear mongers. So, here are a few easy things for them to answer:

1. Define the “correct” temperature range for the planet.

2. Define the “correct” humidity range for the planet.

3. Define the “correct” mean sea level for the planet.

4. Define the “correct” amount of precipitation for the planet.

5. Define the “correct” makeup of the atmosphere.

6. Define the “correct” amount of sea ice at the N/S poles.

7. Define/explain past glaciation and subsequent warming without any input from humans.

I'm sure they'll be getting back to me real soon.

90 degrees, a remarkable figure given that Sodankyla is 59 miles north of the Arctic Circle

Don't they get temperatures like these in the central Yukon and Alaska?

Like the site they chose in Finland (in the middle of the Kola Peninsula), there's no big water (ocean) around to moderate the temperatures, and in July the sun shines 24-7 (literally), day after day.

Of course it's gonna be freaking hot!!

Califirnia is a detriment to America. By allowing the state to burn, and then burn, and then burn some more, the California government is polluting the country with the fire generated partculates and green house gasses.

Here in Tennessee we need to sue California for inducing the heat wave resultant from all the continuous burning of the countryside.

I actually am open to believing in some extent of AGW. I just dont think there is anything we can do about it, just have to deal with what comes.

Summer here in the Washington-Baltimore region has been uneventful, temperature-wise. Some hot and humid days, some mild days. We had a day in the 70s last week. I don’t remember a single 100+ day so far.

A high pressure system plants itself over most of the Country and we’re all gonna die. Got it.

Has nothing to do with Mankind, but why rely on facts.

Meanwhile, it’s a temperate 75 in Minneapolis at the end of July, when it’s typically nearer 100 and humid as a sauna. This summer has been unusually mild.

Even IF (which I don’t believe) global warming is related to human activity, the left has politicized it with so much hysteria and intimidation that the chance of it being taken seriously is nil. Their delivery has completely discredited their message, which is their typical approach to everything.

Climate change is supercharging a cold and dangerous winter

Why don't we ever see this? ^

This is how it works here in DC. February was the 4th warmest on record, and all the local weathermen let us know that. March, April and May were well below average, but you had to look it up yourself.

They’re missing the real problem, control of the earth’s winds. And their own hot air.

So we must assume that these arsonists starting some of these fires are doing it because of Global Warming ?

Ouargla, Algeria, hit 124 degrees on July 5, a likely record for the continent of Africa.

" On 13 September 2012 the World Meteorological Organisation disqualified the record for the highest recorded temperature, exactly 90 years after it had been established at El Azizia, Libya, with a measurement of 58°C. The official highest recorded temperature is now 56.7°C (134°F), which was measured on 10 July 1913 at Greenland Ranch, Death Valley, California, USA.

***

As a result of an investigation in 2012, the WMO concluded that the El Azizia record measurement could be inaccurate by as much as 7°C due to a combination of factors including the asphalt-like surface over which the measurement was taken, which is not a fair representation of the native desert soil.

IOW the WMO "corrected" a 1922 record because of "asphalt-like surface over which the measurement was taken".

Probable site of "New Record for Africa" weather station

http://www.surfacestations.org/

This site in Marysville, CA has been around for about the same amount of time, but has been encroached upon by growth in a most serious way by micro-site effects.

I recall from documentaries from 40 years ago that Siberia has a short summer (like 2 weeks) where the temperatures get into the 90s (when the place is below freezing and even zero most of the rest of the time) Played hell with the Trans-Siberian Railroad, with the rails expanding and destroying sections of track endemically.

So leftards trot out their incomplete ‘fact’s’ which have been true for a thousand years, and force feed it to the ignorant mush brains who listen to and believe their lies.

Its like the record’ high temperatures taken almost always from cities where there now is record amounts of heat accumulating asphalt and concrete which actually accounts for local aberrations.

Its called Cherry Picking data and is a form of lying when its presented by omission as a generality.

Yeah, because saying the “hottest in the past 100 years” just doesn’t have the same cache as saying the “hottest in recorded history”.
