Handsome boy.
And FWIW...catfish ponds with a +chipper shredder backed up to it is a good way to remove evidence.
Pro tip: Freeze carcass overnight before putting in chipper shredder. Wolves have GPS transmitters in them. Catfish will take care of that, though.

Here in the west farmers are compensated for every head lost to wolves.
The only obstacles to that compensation is finding the remains and ensuring it was not a mountain lion kill.
Full reimbursement and they don’t even have to take them to market.
I live in central Wisconsin, immediately adjacent to a U.S. Federal Wildlife Refuge where wolves were introduced. IMO, it was one of the worst decisions ever to have been made. Wolves have decimated the deer population and managed to kill several live stock belonging to local area farmers. Around here the rule “SSS” has been/is being practiced by many.
Re: #11
A small tack-hoe or backhoe are really handy around the place.
It takes a big dog to take care of wolves.
Traps and rifles work better if one is allowed to use them.
<You remark: “They removed those pesky Canadian Geese back in 2011 “
Which ‘Canadian Geese’ would these be?
I know about “Canada Geese” - ;)

Get some donkeys
I want to re establish wolf packs in Central Park and Rock Creek Park. Then, turn these filthy judges loose wrapped in bacon.
Shoot, shovel, and shut up.
A useless bird, if there ever was one. Right up there with anhingas.
There's several large nesting colonies around Michigan where they are destroying the sport fishing. Until the summer of 2016, the DNR used to control these sites by oiling the eggs in selected nests to control the population. That was until the lawsuit I mentioned in my prior post.
I think these cormorants are a new phenomenon is the past several decades because growing up in northern Michigan in the 50's and 60's, I had never even heard of the bird.......
SSS
Shoot, Shovel, Shut-up.
Wolves are just a tool to force working people off the land.
Don’t know where you got that info, but I know people all over the West who have NOT been paid for their stock losses.
The Local Wildlife Warden “DID NOT WITNESS THE KILL.”
In N Nevada, one sheepherder lost over 35 sheep in just one night, and they use Great Pyranese dogs for guarding their flocks.
they need to invest in donkeys..wolves fear them...then shoot, shovel and shut up....

Every state with wolves have a similar program. But many ranchers don’t want to jump through the hoops.
They would rather bait/poison/hunt the wolves.
It puts the ranchers in a position of breaking a bad law to save his livestock or going broke watching his herds die a horrible death.
I figure Game and Fish allow for a certain amount of tags to thin the number of deer, elk, etc. so they don’t suffer from starvation from too many feeding off the same land. Why not do this with wolves?
If the wolves learn to stay away from humans and livestock then the problem is solved. Those that don’t or won’t learn are culled.
I’m glad the Trump admin is reviewing this and hope for a positive outcome for the ranchers and the wolves (in the long run).
I doubt there is a bear in the world that wastes time chasing wolves. Kill one while chasing it off a kill, sure.
