Ohio GOP Rep. Jim Jordan, a member of the House Freedom Caucus, announced Thursday he plans to mount an anti-establishment run for speaker of the House -- presuming Republicans keep control of the chamber.
“Should the American people entrust us with the majority again in the 116th Congress, I plan to run for Speaker of the House to bring real change to the House of Representatives," Jordan said in a statement.

Paul Ryan is not stepping down till end of this year.
This simply means — THE GOP HAS TO RETAIN THE HOUSE THIS NOVEMBER. Otherwise all this talk about a Speaker Jim Jordan is MOOT.
We might even see ( God forbid ) a Speaker Pelosi again ( ugh ! ).
“Mr. Better Way”, Lyin’ Ryan, has endorsed his BFF, Kevin McCarthy.
It would be an amazing run if JJ becomes Speaker and guides Trump’s MAGA agenda thru Congress.

If you get a chance, try to attend one of Trump’s massive rallies. It was an experience I will never forget. 3 hours of waiting in a mile long line was worth it! Talked to really nice people in the line as well. There were a couple of Hispanics near us in the line, and they were very funny and solid pro-Trump.
I would like to know what disease exists in DC that turns favored conservatives, or at least conservative leading Republicans, into spineless, gutless pansies.
Remember how excited we were that John Boner (Int.sp) was ousted and we had hopes for Ryan? Remember when Jeff Sessions was a good senator and conservative?
I guess we should first hope that the House stays in Republican control. Then we can hope that Jordan gets elected to Speaker. Then we have to hope he backs up his talk with real conservative action and leadership.
Depressing is the consistent track record of click and paste liberal/socialist democrat politicians that can always be counted on to be destructive activists against our Republic and the Civil Society.

Even if he doesn’t win, he can certainly will have leverage on how
the house is run after RINO Ryan. 100 House Members are supporting
Jordan. That’s a lot of leverage.
Why the Hell should we wait until the end of the year to have a Speaker who isn’t a Marxist .

In regards to the Speaker's position, if you have to be talked into taking it, you aren't the right person for the job.
I read that in an article here a month or two ago, when there was
speculation Jordan might run.
Did not seem unreasonable since there about 50 members of the
Conservative caucus. Then add in another 50 members.
