Well, thanks, I appreciate it.
However, that always leave me kind of embarrassed as the reality is for 22 years I enjoyed the heck out of it! I saw things, went places, and had a ball most of the time.
The balloon only went up for me during Desert Storm and I was only TDY in Bosnia for a week during IFOR. Air Force enlisted don’t get to do combat stuff too much, so that also makes me feel like Soldiers and Marines should get the most thanks.
Still, what we in the USAF do is ensure we can fly and fight and I’m sure close air support is important to those Marines and Soldiers in the thick of it!
And combat air patrolling means they don’t get bombed and strafed like our enemies do.
But I do understand your sincerity so rightfully, “You’re welcome!”
