F I am making $100,000 gross, paying 39% to Obama’s taxing plan & then paying 9.3% to California, that is 48.3% right there. Who the hell in their right mind can defend living in the Bay Area after you re paying that much in income taxes?

That's just the income taxes. The social security and medicare taxes are there too. The "healthcare" bite is really bad. You have to fund the hell out of your HSA to cover for have premiums of $13,000 and deductibles of $6,700. Between taxes and healthcare, a massive amount of damage is done to the "take home" pay. I have both houses paid off, so my property taxes sum up to around $4,000 annually, but no mortgage interest.
