I wonder what the labor force participation rate will be. Should be released by 8/3. The last one showed unchaged since the President took office.

The rate should actually edge down each year as the boomers age and retire. The LFPR for prime working age - 25 to 54 - was up from 88.5% at his election to 88.9% last month (which was down from 89.3% from a few months earlier). I expect that to tick back up again next release

That might be difficult to improve without a significant change in the socialist welfare/free ride systems people have become addicted to.

There are children coming of age, young adults, and entire families who have never seen or experienced a family member, relative, or family friend holding down a steady job.

They idea of someone getting up each morning and going to work to earn their own money is foreign to them - something their families haven't experienced in a generation or more.
