It was 0bama’s so-called “election meddling report” ordered produced by 0bama on 12/9/2016 and presented to President-elect Trump on 1/6/2017...the same meeting at which a 2-page appendix of the Steele Dossier was introduced (the “salacious details”) and for which Clapper justified leaking to the media and prompting its revelation.
Of COURSE he was told, but the report was BS and Trump had inside knowledge from Rogers that they were out to get him. He took the meeting - the dossier’s salacious details delivered by Comey one-on-one - and 18 months later they want to smear him with it?
The meeting was intended to besmirch Trump and launch a foreign policy crisis, but Trump wasn’t playing. Isn’t playing.

Comey briefed Trump on the dossier during the same timeframe. The only problem was that Comey only mentioned the salacious, alleged hotel incident and nothing else. How can we trust these NYT leaks?

Informed should be in quotes. Seeding misinformation is a common tactic used to entrap. That way if they ever ask him if he knew and says ‘no’ they can say ‘aha!’, because their guy on the inside already planted the poisoned bait.
This NYT article is being called the proof that Trump knew about the “collusion” and a lot of people think this is the slam dunk that Trump was ok with it or “knew.” These holy heads of intelligence came to Trump to let him know that (what, exactly? He didn’t really win??), and now this is a Gotcha for the left to Trump somehow.
This article is being taken very seriously, and I don’t know quite how to refute it with people who see the world from such a different perspective.
Is there any way any of this social media influence that may have come from Russia had any effect on the election? Every Trump voter I know was not affected by social media posts. I’ve known many of these FReepers here for years so I know they were not Russian bots. I was Pro Trump and I was not a Russian bot either. The typical Trump voter has to buck the mainstream EVERY DAY. You have to be tough to stand up against neighbors, family, media, etc and stick with what you believe is right. We aren’t swayed by silly unknowns online.
Odd how the New York Times and Washington Post haven’t run any of those “amazing” Russian ads so people could laugh their heads off at anyone who thought they would be effective.
