“Enemies of the American People”.

So true. The Left sees America as the "bad guy" in the world today. All other people and cultures are superior. Except Putin, of course. His failure to be a Bolshevik really irks the Left, almost as much as Trump's patriotism.

There is no doubt that the MSM is one leg of those who seek to undermine the US and destroy us as a people.

The media’s first allegiance is to the left. Not to America. Its people are not Americans. They’re leftists. The politics of the left are geared at replacing Americans with leftists through a combination of indoctrination, demographic replacement, economic warfare and voter suppression.

And we're supposed to sit down, shut up and just accept being replaced and losing our country. That's not going to happen and that's why Donald Trump has been sent to the White House.

Is the media the enemy of the American People? ABSOLUTELY!

It's unfair to blame all of this on Trump. A free press being necessary but potentially damaging is nothing new according to Jefferson:

"The only security of all is in a free press. The force of public opinion cannot be resisted when permitted freely to be expressed. The agitation it produces must be submitted to. It is necessary, to keep the waters pure." --Thomas Jefferson to Lafayette, 1823. ME 15:491

"The functionaries of every government have propensities to command at will the liberty and property of their constituents. There is no safe deposit for these but with the people themselves, nor can they be safe with them without information. Where the press is free, and every man able to read, all is safe." --Thomas Jefferson to Charles Yancey, 1816. ME 14:384

"I deplore... the putrid state into which our newspapers have passed and the malignity, the vulgarity, and mendacious spirit of those who write for them... These ordures are rapidly depraving the public taste and lessening its relish for sound food. As vehicles of information and a curb on our funtionaries, they have rendered themselves useless by forfeiting all title to belief... This has, in a great degree, been produced by the violence and malignity of party spirit." --Thomas Jefferson to Walter Jones, 1814. ME 14:46

"Our printers raven on the agonies of their victims, as wolves do on the blood of the lamb." --Thomas Jefferson to James Monroe, 1811. ME 13:59

"From forty years' experience of the wretched guess-work of the newspapers of what is not done in open daylight, and of their falsehood even as to that, I rarely think them worth reading, and almost never worth notice." --Thomas Jefferson to James Monroe, 1816. ME 14:430

"Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knowledge with the lies of the day." --Thomas Jefferson to John Norvell, 1807. ME 11:224

"As for what is not true, you will always find abundance in the newspapers." --Thomas Jefferson to Barnabas Bidwell, 1806. ME 11:118

"Advertisements... contain the only truths to be relied on in a newspaper." --Thomas Jefferson to Nathaniel Macon, 1819. ME 15:179

"The press is impotent when it abandons itself to falsehood." --Thomas Jefferson to Thomas Seymour, 1807.

An enemy is someone who fights against you.

The American Press fights against the American people.

The American Press is an enemy of the American people.

But why do they fight against us?

Ideology? No.

Land? No.

The American Press fights against the American people because the American journalists believe that it is in their best financial interest to do so.

They are bribed.

Who bribes them, and why?

Media is plural for medium. It is a soup that conveys information. Marshall McLuhan wrote about it. He was the guy in line for the movie in Annie Hall.

“President Trump tweeted that the media was the “enemy of the people”...……………

Anyone care to dispute that? Trump has shown time and time again that the media (mind you not all media) have been historic in “adjusting” the facts of news issues to show their OPINIONS versus what is actual truth. Hence his “Fake News” labels.

Thanks for a great post, DoodleBob.

As Jefferson noted, “ The only security of all is in a free press..”

I submit that this is true only so long as the press is truly free, and not under the control of a malignant force.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book-review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV, and motion pictures.

I realize the Stanford Prison Experiment has been largely debunked, but the moment an individual hires on with a media outfit they began to treat normal everyday people as curiosities, even aliens. They slip into some sort of false sense of superiority merely by dint of holding a microphone or a camera.

Bravo to Daniel Greenfield for this superb article making crystal clear that most of the media are, in fact, enemies of the American people.
