We have climbed and crawled over seemingly endless broken glass scattered on the path to the polls before. We are good enough, we are tough enough, and gosh darn it, we LOVE our country!
I agree, but there’s not enough people - that is, what the press considers “people,” which is not us - supporting him and I think he was intimidated.
I don’t think Trump capitulated to them today, but he should have told them to wait and tomorrow, after he had had time to think about it, he could have called a press conference where he might have been firmer. But they’ve already distorted what he said because it sounded weak.
