The FBI has had “the server” all along. The server isn’t infact a single server but hundreds of servers - most of them ‘in the cloud’ which means distributed globally.

The FBI has never had the physical server, nor would there be any point to that. What they have had are ‘images’ of the servers which is exactly what anyone would want to properly investigate the crime.

The whole “where is the server” question is a big fat red herring and I don’t know why people are pursuing it.
