History somehow isn’t moving toward its predetermined end, and this has driven Western liberals completely mad. The theatrical overreaction to Donald Trump’s joint press conference with Vladimir Putin in Helsinki is just the latest proof. Before the Trump-Putin summit, pundits warned that Trump might recognise Crimea as Russian territory.
He did nothing of the sort. But he did give Putin the benefit of the doubt when the Russian leader, in a carefully chosen phrase, said the ‘Russian state’ had not interfered in the 2016 election.

And as far as our intelligence community is concerned, weren't they warned by Russian intelligence about the Boston bombers? What did our side do with that info?

Daniel McCarthy makes some excellent points.
He notes that liberals aren't bothered by muslim regimes. They are bothered by Putin because it destroys their century long meme that we are "headed to the end of history". Their "end of history" never happened. Instead communism was defeated and Russia has reverted to a capitalist republic. All the left's hopes and dreams are shattered.
I'd note too that their only "end of history" outposts which remain are Cuba and Venezuela. Talk about butthurt!
Is it paranoid conspiracy to now think 9/11 was more of a purposeful intelligence failure by the United States? I suspect that we will never know the real truth. The 9/11 Commission was pure BS. "Truthers" are delusional but this government is criminal.
I don’t like Putin and don’t see a bright future for Russia, but sort of beyond caring, considering Trump has been fighting a coup for the last year and a half against the Deep State, the CIA, the FBI, and even Republicans. Russia always took third place behind China and Islam for me, now gets 4th place, with a deep State coup at the top.
Um you’re missing one key point which is the fact that Putin is a globalist. Russia and China have extended themselves everywhere from Venezuela to Afghanistan either via direct presence or economic funding.
And they were the biggest signatories of Paris Climate Accord and Iran Nuclear Deal.
Russia and Iran are still very close.
Not only does Putin enact globalist military policies and boost the interests of Iran and use the U.N. and World Trade Organization to undermine American tariffs and measures — but Russian oligarchs are globalists with tons of money and estates stashed away in banks here, Switzerland, and all over Western Europe.
Russian elites paid bucketloads of cash into The Clinton Foundation. Bill Clinton was paid $500,000 per speech before Moscow businessmen.
