I disagree. The whole system is so convoluted that there is no such thing as protocol anymore. The more rocks that are overturned the more clearly we realize what an isolated president we have. No one to trust. No apologies or clarifications needed.

In a normal Presidency, no one working in or through the DOJ would indict 12 Russians on the eve of a Presidential meeting with the Russian head of state without getting the President’s approval. The reasons they don’t show him is because he is their target and he is isolated, it isn’t his DOJ. Rather they wait until he is overseas, and then pull this crap in an effort to undermine and manipulate Trump. Newt should have been OUTRAGED about Mueller’s timing - why could it not wait until after the trip?
If the President states that he sees no Russian interference, who can blame him - the rogue BHO swamp government working under Sessions recusal is withholding the “evidence” from him from which he can make the speech that they want him to make about Russia. And this after BHO before the election said there was no interference or something to that effect. As smart as Newt is, he sure missed this one. Now those claiming Russia interference cost HRC the election have to put up the facts. Except they won’t.
