At one point I imagined a good way to stop people from doing drugs was to get them aware of the fact that they are supporting people who murder people (the cartels).

But then I realized how dumb an idea that was. To take meth is to start on your own demise.

I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would do this to themselves.

Glad at least they got these creeps.

“...I imagined a good way to stop people from doing drugs was to get them aware of the fact that they are supporting people who murder people (the cartels).”

And you’re not wrong. I never have been a “Blame it on the US” kind of guy - but our nation’s consumption of pot, heroin, coke and meth to some large degree fuels the violence in other countries. And it fuels some of the violence here as well.

I’m not an advocate of legalization. I don’t think that’ll solve the problem. But we have to try harder at interdiction (the wall is a very good start) and punishment for those who sell drugs. Drug dealers need to understand that yes, you’ll do well for a while but eventually you’ll end up with a bullet in your head or doing a spectacularly long period of time in the hole.

But I digress...
