The federal judge overseeing the U.S. government's efforts to reunify more than 2,500 migrant children it separated from their parents ordered a temporary hold on deportations for reunified families on Monday.
Judge Dana Sabraw of the Southern District of California said the government must halt the deportations in response to a filing by the ACLU that claimed the government has refused to deny "that mass deportations may be carried out imminently and immediately upon reunification."

So now this judge and the ACLU are in charge of immigration? Weird, I thought President Trump did that.
Needs removed from the bench for dereliction of duty.
Ok, don't deny it... So what if it is?
WTF kind of judgement is this?
one that SCOTUS will ultimately overturn.
Maybe this judge doesn’t remember that the Supreme Court just confirmed that the President decides who comes and who goes.
Just use the Andrew Jackson method.
By what authority. Clarence Thomas was spot on. It is time to stop the charade of 1 judge ruling for the nation.
Judges are out of control and just making it up as they go, no adherence to law at all.
One district judge halts deportations for the entire country. There is something definitely wrong with this.
Where in the Constitution do these two bit democrats get this kind of authority?
No one has an answer on how to address this. Those who call for removal offer no easy solution. The process of removal is complex and difficult and will be interfered with tooth and nail. There has to be a better way. We need a genius to figure it out.
Ignore the order. Nothing the judge can do about it.
If you ask me it's one that SCOTUS has already overturned when it ruled that the executive branch was in charge of immigration policy, not Arizona, and certainly not the ACLU.
This is a huge flaw in the system and the libs are exploiting it.
one federal judge should not be more powerful than a president, only the the supreme court. the president should be able to defy a federal judge but not a the supreme court.
“Ignore the order. Nothing the judge can do about it.”
I hate to say it - but you may be right. I’ve always been one of those “We are a nation of laws and we must respect those law” kind of guys.
But now we are really seeing judges issuing opinions based not on the laws but on their political whims. There has to be a time when we tell some of these judges “Sorry, we view your order as unconstitutional and are disregarding it”.
I feel awful thinking that way - but we are being slowly forced into a corner where judges and not our legislatures are making the rules.
Hey NBC
these are ILLEGAL PEOPLE,
nice deflect from the fact they are illegal
Appointed by G.W. Bush.
I hope the new Supreme Court takes up the issue.
